About: Mongolian churches are filled with young people with vibrant energy! However when it comes to the sustainability of churches and the influence of the churches on the world, this energy is quite low. One of the key social problems in Mongolia today is young people without good job skills and lack of development and learning opportunities. As we study this problem, we realized many of our young people have fundamental math training from the Soviet education system and do not have extensive practical skill training afterward. Being close to Silicon Valley, the heart of the tech industry, we see the opportunity to educate our young people on basic to intensive coding skills. We have plans to partner with the only Christian private high school in Ulaanbaatar, as well as American/Mongolian immigrant software engineers from the Bay area, to help us launch our first Coding camp! This camp will launch at the end of 2018 with a long-term vision of Tech/virtual School to impact future generations of Mongolian young leaders. This will dramatically change the tech startup scene as well as the entrepreneurs' initiatives in a nation hungry for future change. So far we got a team of 8 Software engineers from Amazon, Facebook, Workday, and other large companies who are helping us creating surveys and syllabus for the camp.
Various Boot Camps
About: Last year, we were able to translate and launch Bible for Kids app in Mongolian and within 6 months we had over 9000 downloads. We also worked with a Tech/Education company in China to put together audio books, digital contents on topics of leadership and family on the largest social media platform of China WeChat and in less than 7 months, we have had over 35,000 subscribers and it’s still growing daily. Through these efforts and trials, we realized it’s the best way to touch today’s mobile, emerging millennial and generation Z in Mongolia and China is with Social media and technology. We will continuously invest in creating more digital, audio, video and podcast contents on existing platforms we have got also maybe looking into running our own Applications on mobile devices.
